Are You With Me So Far
"I need to get a pill-cutter to split the dog's antacid pills in half." And with that statement, I've inched one step closer to being That Lady With All the Pets and the Sequinned Holiday Sweatshirts.
My first pill cutter purchase was for my dog too. At the age of six he had to go on a half a pill of predinisone every other day for an autoimmune liver problem. To make it easier to do the every other day thing, along with his other three pill, I also bought him a pill box with 4 slots.
He is allergic to dust mites, so he got one of those sleeve things (meant for a crib mattress) for his dog bed.
Still only one pet though. He prefers to be an "only child".
I don't have to give my cat pills (thank goodness!) but he is 13 and therefore the warranty on his kidneys has expired, so I have to give him "subcutaneous hydration" which means injecting fluids under his skin. I call it "watering the cat."
Because of this, we have needles and bags of fluids which are *his* medical equipment, not mine. No matter how many times I accidentally stab myself on *his* needles.
As I sit here in my cat-face sweatshirt, it occurs to me that I have a pill-splitter that I've never used.
ReplyDeleteI could send it to you.
Do you happen to need one of those razer-comb thingies? Got an unused one of those, too.
Cheers!
Been there, done that (the pills, not the sequins ...).
ReplyDeleteWe'll form a support group. I'm a Crazy Bird Lady.
ReplyDeleteWalmart sells a cheap pill cutter that works great on pet pills.

Like others here, I've done that as well. You're not alone!
