That sounds like a very Midwestern sensibility. We always put up the tree on Christmas Eve, and left it up until my birthday (Jan. 9), then dragged it out to the street with the threaded popcorn still in the branches for the birds to eat, though I never saw one bird stop for a snack.

ReplyDeleteI live in Alabama, I sympathize. It was 74 degrees when we put ours up Sunday.
