Jack Frost Nipping At Your Nose

Consort has laid down a decree: It's weird to buy a Christmas tree on a day where one could wear shorts.

So it appears we won't be getting our tree until February. In Utah.

    That sounds like a very Midwestern sensibility. We always put up the tree on Christmas Eve, and left it up until my birthday (Jan. 9), then dragged it out to the street with the threaded popcorn still in the branches for the birds to eat, though I never saw one bird stop for a snack.

    I live in Alabama, I sympathize. It was 74 degrees when we put ours up Sunday.
    Of course, we will get an ice storm in April, just for kicks.
