I've Paid My Dues, Time After Time
Just a quick thought. After reading all the comments which came in after Not Screaming Day, I've decided each year there will be a Queen and King of Quiet, a person who will be noted far and wide for the not-screaming they are doing. There might be a hat involved.
We don't have a King yet, but without hesitation I declare Jakarta Rocks as our Queen of Quiet. Please go read her comment under "Make me wanna holler" and see why she's getting the fancy hat.

Good choice. Jakarta Rocks wins hands down.
Her comment makes me want to take up a collection and get her out of there sooner!
So let's see this hat.
really, anytime I get frustrated with life in my fair city, all I will have to do is think of Jakarta Rocks. That should shut me up pronto.
But she has a STAFF to gripe about to do her washing. ;-) That alone would take care of my screaming. hehe
The rest of her frustrations do sound quite terrible. I'll even vote for Not Screaming Day to last a week! Was happy to see a new blog up. :-)
Not only does she have a staff to complain about, but also a NANNY (whose monthly salary is equivalent to the cost of a cell phone). Maybe Jakarata itself is horrible, but a glance at her blog shows that she's visited Florence, Piza, Rome and Borneo since February.
I would happily handle a few inconveniences and rude people for the opportunity to live in a foreign country and travel to others so frequently!
But I didn't scream after reading her comment (which wasn't easy), so maybe I can get to at least Princess of Quiet level? The final sentence, in particular, had me imagining what I might do to her laundry if I were one of her local 'staff.' Anyway, now I have the Pretenders "Middle of the Road" stuck in my head and it's all because of this post somehow. Love your blog, Quinn!
Monicalyn... seconded. Perhaps the wonderful hat could also be a time machine, to bring the wearer's mind out of the wrong century. Useful for all sorts of situations, I should think!
