And though it's been said, many times, many ways...

I thought I had one more blog in me before Christmas, but it turns out that I was mistaken. Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, Kwanzaa, Eid al-Adha or just enjoy the time of quiet and carbohydrates, my family and I wish you joy and peace this season and through the new year.

Quinn: Just found your blog and oh, how I love your writing. Read the Lilly II entry over the phone to my SO (my equivalent to your Consort), and preordered your book, assuming it will carry the same magic as this blog.

So now I'm starting at the beginning and working my way forward - and your entries on Ursula reassured me that (a) I'm not the only reasonably sensible person crazy enough to bring an Entirely Unsuitable Dog into the household and (b) perhaps I do have the strength of character (and of arm) to try to train my Unsuitable Dog, aka Monty.

Here's Monty - http://sarainvermont.blogspot.com/2008/09/monty-albatross.html.

Thanks for sharing your stories.

And the same to you, Consort, and Daughter!

And oh, yes. Those carbohydrates! They have no calories in them between Christmas and the New Year, right?

How cool is it when the word verification is an actual word?

I've been asked to type in "honed".

Love it!

Happy New Year, everyone.
